Former PM of Canton in BiH convicted for Abuse of Position

The former Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton, Hamdija Lipovac, was convicted in the first instance for the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority.

The conviction of the Municipal Court in Bosanska Krupa against Lipovača, as well as its advisors Jasmin Hošić and Mahir Midžić, was confirmed by the Cantonal Court in Livno, and they are accused of benefiting the SDP political party in 2014 to the detriment of the budget of the Una-Sana Canton. in the form of illegal financing of the same by paying the sum of 5,000 BAM.

As stated in the verdict, they were given conditional sentences with the obligation to compensate for the damage.
