As part of the investigation of the treatment of a minor of Bosniak nationality by members of the Osmaci Police Station, four police officers of that police station were arrested, the Republika Srpska (RS) Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

“They are also suspended and an internal procedure will be initiated against them,” the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs added.

They pointed out that the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Bijeljina is conducting an investigation regarding the suspicion that the criminal acts of “Abuse of official position or authority” and “Reckless work in the service” have been committed.

It should be recalled that Juso Jusic, the father of the boy whom he claims was beaten by the police in Osmaci on August 22nd, stated that he heard his child screaming and crying.

“When it was over, I ran out of the room and saw two policemen standing at the door of another small room and my child lying against the wall, only for one of the policemen to laugh in my face and say ‘he’s fine’,” Jusic said, N1 reports.
