FPA found Large Amount of illegally obtained Money

During the search of several locations in the area of ​​Zenica and Kakanj due to the suspicion of committing criminal acts, more than 80,000 KM of unknown origin were found, as well as firearms and ammunition, and one person was arrested, announced the Federal Police Administration /FUP/.

During the search of business premises in the area of ​​Zenica, a large amount of documentation related to the educational institution “Veritas Education Center” from Široki Brijeg was found and temporarily confiscated, including applications, certificates, testimonials, diplomas, payment slips and other documentation, as well as 33,400 KM and 25,800 euros.

The FUP stated that no documentation on the origin or other legal basis for disposing of this money was presented on the spot.

During the search in the area of ​​Kakanj municipality, temporarily confiscated firearms and ammunition were found, including one rifle that did not have the appropriate authorization of the competent authority, for which reason one person was arrested and a criminal offense related to illegal possession of weapons and ammunition was documented against him.

The FUP submitted a report to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton about the criminal offense committed against two persons due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed criminal offenses of fraud, forgery of documents, and illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials.
