In the Republika Srpska, tomorrow is the Day of Mourning on the occasion of commemorating more than three decades since the martyrdom of 3,267 Serbs in central Podrinje and Birč.

The decision to declare the Day of Mourning was made earlier by the RS Government.

The day of mourning, as stated, is marked in the manner prescribed by the Law on the observance of the day of mourning.

The central commemoration will be held in Bratunac.

The commemoration is being organized on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the martyrdom of Serbs on St. Peter’s Day in 1992 in the villages around Srebrenica and Bratunac, when 69 civilians and soldiers were killed and 22 captured, none of whom survived.
