The Institute of Health Insurance and Reinsurance of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) and the Clinical Hospital Center (KBC) Split have signed a contract on business cooperation, the Split hospital announced.

The possibility of referring insured persons of the Institute to the KBC for some more complex treatment methods, which are regularly and successfully carried out in the hospital in Split, has been agreed upon.

This primarily refers to the treatment of patients with severe damage to the blood vessels of the heart, as well as those with threatening cardiac arrhythmias, when complex diagnostic procedures and treatment with invasive methods need to be carried out, and the Institute’s policyholders with severe burns will also be treated at the KBC.

Namely, the contract represents a major step forward in the treatment of patients with such diseases because as of today insured persons from the FBiH can receive treatment at KBC. This is another step forward in the Institute’s continuous effort to improve treatment services under its jurisdiction, it was said at the signing.

The institute will continue to advocate for an increase in funds and open opportunities for providing treatment services and supplying medicines, by enabling the conclusion of similar contracts with other clinics, it was announced.
