French Ambassador to BiH Christine Toudic visits Brcko District

Newly-appointed French Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Christine Toudic paid an inaugural visit to the Brcko District yesterday and met with District officials and supervisor Michael Scanlan at the City Hall.

Representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the Brcko District informed Ambassador Toudic about the specifics of Brcko as a local community and the values that are nurtured in that multiethnic area, the District Government announced.

Significant projects were also presented, which will be emphasized by the current government in Brcko, such as the construction of a bridge on the Sava River, quality waste management, wastewater treatment system and the project of reconstruction of the “Port of Brčko” and navigability of the Sava River.

Ambassador Toudic expressed her satisfaction with the welcome to the District and pointed out that, after Sarajevo, Brčko was the first city she visited. She said she is ready to cooperate with the District in terms of projects and new investments, as well as cooperation in the field of culture and education.

Mayor of the Brcko District of BiH Esed Kadric, Deputy Mayor Anto Domic, President of the Assembly of Brcko Sinisa Milic and Deputy President of the Assembly Ivo Filipovic also attended the meeting.
