In Hrenovica, municipality Pale-Prača, yesterday marked the official start of work on the adaptation and equipping of the factory for production of eco-palettes, which will be located in one of the buildings of the former JNA barracks.
This is a joint product with the BiH company “Elegija” and “Mimiapi” from Turkey, and the value of the investment is 1,5 million euros.
12 employees are planned to be hired from this local community, and if raw materials are provided, there is a possibility to expand capacity.
As previously announced, the contract with the supplier of the equipment was signed and from 15 October of this year they expect that from this facility the first pallet will be produced.
The company “Elegija” has already begun the construction of a mini hydropower plant on the river Prača, and according to the Director Nermin Čengić, waste wood from the lake will be used for the production of eco-palettes.
On this occasion, the Minister of Economy of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Demir Imamović said that this project is of significant importance for Goražde, located in Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, and especially for Pale-Prača, because in this way it will use its own energy to try to heat public institutions and houses.
“What is important to us is that investments have begun in the area of Pale-Prača and that this is an industrial zone that in the future would certainly be very attractive for new investors, especially when they have fully finished the tunnel on the main M-5 road. We hope that this year this zone will be very interesting and for other investors from the FBIH”, said Minister Imamović.
The mayor of Pale-Prača Asim Zec on this occasion announced the opening of the tunnel Stambolčić in May, which would enable future investors better communication.
“This year, we already have an agreement with two companies. One is a producer of palettes, and the second is a producer of French fries. It is expected that by October, both facilities will begin with work. The third project is a mini hydropower plant on the river Prača at Vražalica, so that when we look at the investment this year, this is an investment in the economy of more than 10 million in this area’’, said Zec.
