13705117_1797427837160559_1841833136_nIn the chaotic news reported by world media last night during an attempted military coup in Turkey, there was one disinformation. It is said that General Akar Hulusi switched to the side of the rebels. It turned out to be disinformation. General was blocked by coup plotters and held captive.

General Akar Hulusi is one of several commanders of the Turkish military mission which had a mandate in BiH, when he was given the rank of General. He was in BiH from August 1997 to August 1998. Akar was appointed in 2013 as the commander of Turkish Land Forces of the Republic of Turkey, and the Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Army in August 2015.

General Akar Hulusi visited Zenica in 2014, where he was welcomed as a friend.
