Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo did not sign the Decision on the appointment of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today because there is no one from the Party of Democratic Action in its proposed composition, which he says is the winning party in the 2022 General Elections.
He claims that “the winners of the elections are those who got the majority in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament”.
“I did not sign this Decision also because it was passed in violation of the Constitution and the law and without the consent of the two vice presidents, as regulated by the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I will show you what that Decision looks like without the vice president’s signature because the president of the Federation, Lidija Bradara, ignored the two of us. She made the decision herself, which she intends to send to the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament for adoption,” said Lendo.
He showed the journalists what, in his words, a correct decision should look like, which should contain three signatures of the president and two vice presidents of FBiH.
“The third reason why I did not give my consent is that I do not know people proposed as ministers. I know one proposed candidate for the minister and I know that he is honest, good and hardworking. I would sign for him to be a minister in the government immediately. I don’t know other people and I didn’t even have a chance to read who is on the list,” said Lendo.
He said that this situation regarding the appointment of the FBIH Government can only be resolved as the high representative in BiH said, if the presidents of SDA, HDZ and SDP, Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović and Nermin Nikšić, agree.
“I invite that by April 6, the deadline for the formation of the Government, Izetbegović, Čović and Nikšić meet and propose new names and that we sign it so that the citizens have a new Government from April 6, otherwise there will be no new Government,” Lendo stated, Fena reports.
