German Chancellor Olaf Soltz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet on Friday in Frankfurt and talk face to face, a spokesman for the German government told FP on Thursday.
The meeting will take place on the same day as a contact group meeting of Ukraine’s allies is being held at Ramstein, a US air base near Frankfurt, where defense ministers and military officials will discuss further aid to Ukraine.
A spokesman for the German government did not reveal the details of Zelensky’s program.
According to Der Spiegel, which has not been officially confirmed, Zelensky will also be in Ramstein to ask for more weapons to fight against the Russians.
