The Executive Director of the German Economic Board, prof. dr. Rainer Lindner will visit Sarajevo on 7 and 8 May 2014. The aim of this visit is to intensify economic relations between Germany and B&H. Prof. Lindner during his visit will have meetings with various government officials. Discussions with representatives of Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) are part of the program, as well as meetings with German companies which operate in B&H, with former receivers of scholarships from the program of German scholarships for Western Balkans, which the Board conducts in cooperation with the federal government.
German Economic Board is a jointly organ of the Association of the German Economic Alliance to represent the interests of German companies in the Eastern and Southeastern Europe. It function as a contact partner for companies and local authorities, and also as a mediator between the economy and politics. German Economic Board for Eastern Europe is established in 1952 as the first regional initiative of German economy. Every year organizes many informative events, trips for entrepreneurs, and conferences in 21 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. This organization with headquarters in Berlin is considered an expert center of German economy for Eastern European and Central Asiatic growing markets.
