IMG515The German Embassy to BiH stated that peaceful protests are a part of democracy and that it is regularly monitoring the situation in BiH.

The German Embassy to BiH thinks that the security situation in BiH after the protests in Sarajevo remained unchanged and that currently it does not see any need for a new evaluation.

“All German citizens that were inside the BIH Parliament building on Thursday, 6 June left the building at 4:00 in the morning without any problems. During the protest, the Embassy was in contact with German citizens inside the building and had a close and trustful cooperation with the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the local police’’, said the German Embassy to Srna.

The group of foreign citizens, most of whom were bankers who participated at the 7th annual meeting of the European Fund for Southeast Europe, spent the entire night inside the BIH Parliament building on Thursday, 6 June due to the protests regarding the issue of the unique citizen master number.
