Germany Wrote Off Debt of B&H faktor.baGerman Federal Government wrote off the debt of B&H amounting to 20 million EUR.

“Prerequisite for writing off this debt was that B&H invests four million EUR in rehabilitation of hydro power plants Trebinje and Rama with the aim of strengthening renewable energy.  After B&H now fulfilled this request, debt relief was enabled” it was announced from the Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in B&H.

Ambassador Christian Hellback hailed the fact that this way the financial cooperation between Germany and B&H yielded results.

“Thereby, such an important development of renewable energy sources was launched for B&H, which still hides enormous potentials. At the same time, in this way Germany indirectly contributes to the climate protection”, stated the German Embassy.

So far, the German Government has put around 750 million EUR at disposal for the projects of financial cooperation in B&H.
