The traditional 18th recreational ride of the Giro di Sarajevo gathered today a large number of citizens and cycling enthusiasts, which ended the three-day event dedicated to the promotion of an active life and urban mobility.

The Giro di Sarajevo Association told Fena news agency that the event went well, with the participation of more than a thousand cyclists. A special contribution was made by guests from abroad, among whom were 30 cyclists from the Netherlands.

The column of cyclists moved along the well-known route from Dobrinja to Vijećnica, returning to Vilson’s promenade, which, after two years, restored the original route. The organizers pointed out that all the participants successfully completed the route and enjoyed riding through the city streets, and the end of the event was marked by socializing and fun on the Vilson Promenade, with the distribution of gifts for the participants, which solemnly closed another successful Giro Bike Weekend in Sarajevo.

This year again, Sarajevo hosted an important cycling event organized by the Giro di Sarajevo Association, and the three-day event brought a rich program for all ages, from cultural events to sports competitions.
