Good News: No COVID related Deaths recorded in Canton Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, seven new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Sarajevo Canton (CS), after laboratory analysis of 504 samples. In the same period, ten people recovered from the Covid infection and no one died.

Of the mentioned number of newly infected, three persons belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 46 patients are hospitalized in CS, 28 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas “18. There are no patients on a respirator, and oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is used by one hospitalized person in the General Hospital.

In the past 24 hours, two people were released from hospital treatment. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 158 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 844 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,627 people infected with coronavirus and 51,186 cured have been registered in Sarajevo Canton.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is six, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 11.
