Gospić was hit by a strong snow wave, which is causing major problems in traffic and daily activities. The height of snow in the area of the city has already exceeded 30 centimeters, and the snowfall does not stop.

Snow plows came out on the streets of Gospić, and people cleaned the snow with shovels. However, completely removing the snow was mission impossible as it continued to fall heavily.

A lot of the roads around Gospić are covered with snow and traffic flow is very difficult, Indeks reports.

Winter conditions are on most roads in Lika and Gorski kotar, including state roads DC1 Karlovac-Gračac-Knin and DC3 Zdihovo-Gornje Jelenje-Kikovica. Drivers are advised to adapt their speed and driving style to road conditions and not to set off without prescribed winter equipment, HAK added.

In the continuation of today, the precipitation will be most pronounced along the Adriatic and in the surrounding areas, where it will rain, and locally more abundantly.

In Gorski Kotar and Lika, snow will continue to fall occasionally, with the creation of a new snow cover. A warning is in effect through the Meteoalarm system of the State Hydrometeorological Institute. Winter conditions will be further aggravated by a strong storm, especially near Velebit mountain.
