The Government of the Canton of Sarajevo passed two decisions by which the Ministry of Economy of the CS is given consent to co-finance two new projects that will be implemented by the KJP “ZOI ’84”.

The first is the project “Reconstruction of the rainwater collection system” and it will be co-financed by the CS Ministry of Economy in the amount of up to 880,000 BAM. The main goal of this project is to rehabilitate the system for receiving and purifying rainwater from ski slopes, public parking lots and other areas with the aim of protecting the basin of the water source for the Sarajevsko polje water supply, and ensuring the necessary additional amount of water needed for the operation of the artificial snowmaking system.

According to the project, the drainage canals next to the parking lots will be arranged, the separator will be replaced with a more modern and larger capacity one, and the pipe systems for water drainage will be cleaned, from the separator to the absorption wells, that is, the pumping systems.

The performed remediation will remove any pollution by dirty rainwater of the aeration zone and the catchment area of Sarajevo Field.

The second project is “Modernization of infrastructure and equipment at the ski center Bjelašnica – Igman”, which will be co-financed with funds in the amount of up to 8,622,500 BAM. This project includes the improvement of the network, information and technological system of the Ski Center Bjelašnica, as well as the construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of technical facilities at the Ski Center.

Part of the project is the construction of safety infrastructure and the construction of finishing layers on the ski slopes, the purchase of machines and equipment for work and transport at the ski center, the purchase of machines for the arrangement of ski slopes, and the upgrading of the lighting system of the ski slopes. The reconstruction of the Heliodrom ski lift, with the arrangement of the route, and the construction of a children’s park with winter and summer content, also in Babin Dol, are planned.

“The goal of the projects is to raise the competitiveness of the Ski Center Bjelašnica in the summer and winter seasons and thus ensure an increase in income, safety and efficiency of the company ZOI’84, as well as the improvement of the service they offer,” emphasized minister Zlatko Mijatović.

This week’s session of the CS Government was held in the building of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, and on that occasion the members of the Government held a meeting with Mayor Hasan Tanović and discussed numerous projects that will be implemented in the area of this municipality in the coming period, in which the Canton of Sarajevo will participate, Fena reports.
