FB&H Rejected FB&H President’s Proposal

At today’s session in Sarajevo, the FB&H government rejected the proposal of FB&H President Živko Budimir to authorize the Assistant Minister of Finance to sign off on payment transactions from the FB&H budget. No one voted for the proposal, nine voted against and five abstained.

‘’The proposal of the FB&H President was not accepted. The Legislative Office said that there is no legal condition for the adoption of such a decision’’, said President Budimir to journalists. President Budimir attended the FB&H session.

President Budimir said that during the discussion of this issue, he proposed that the daily agenda of today’s session expand with the point ‘consideration of the proposal of amendments to the Budget Law’. All payments from the FB&H budget were suspended due to the dismissal of the FB&H Minister of Finance.

President Budimir confirmed that on Monday he called for consultations on the issue of election and appointment of the FB&H Minister of Finance as soon as possible to presidents and vice-presidents of the clubs of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament.
