Government of FBiH Approves Adjustment of Pensions in the Amount of 11.26 Percent

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a telephonic session, on the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, adopted a conclusion by which it takes note and approves the Decision on the adjustment of pensions in accordance with Article 79 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, in the amount of 11.26 percent, to the amount of the pension paid for December 2025, which was adopted by the Board of Directors of the Federal Institute for Pension/Retirement and Disability Insurance.

With this decision, the first adjustment of pensions in 2026 was carried out in two parts, in such a way that the advance adjustment of pensions was carried out in January 2026 in the amount of 11.2 percent, and the additional adjustment of pensions will be carried out in accordance with the Decision in the amount of 0.06 percent.

As the proponent argues, in accordance with the published official data of the Federal Bureau of Statistics, on February 15, 2026. year, the average gross salary in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period I-XI 2025, compared to I-XI 2024, increased by 16.3 percent, while for the same period the consumer price index (CPI) grew at a rate of 3.7 percent.

In accordance with this published data, and according to the formula for regular adjustment of pensions, which is the sum of 60 percent of the growth rate of the average gross salary and 40 percent of the CPI growth rate, the rate of final adjustment of pensions starting from January 1, 2026. is 11.26 percent, it was announced by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
