US President Donald Trump confirmed in a video published on social networks that the United States of America has begun a military campaign in Iran.

“Our goal is to defend the American people by eliminating the immediate threats from the Iranian regime, a cruel group of very difficult, horrible people,” the president said in the video.

“Their activities directly threaten the United States, our troops, our bases abroad and our allies around the world,” he said in the eight-minute message.

“For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted Death to America and waged an endless campaign of bloodshed and mass murder, targeting the United States, our troops, and innocent people in many, many countries,” Trump said, among other things.

He cited the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, in 2023, and said that it was Iran’s proxy that slaughtered more than 1,000 innocent people, including 46 Americans and took 12 of US citizens hostage.
