Government of Republika Srpska allocates 10 million BAM for the Employment Strategy

The Government of Republika Srpska adopted the Framework Budget Document of Republika Srpska for the period from 2025 to 2027, which states, among other things, that in 2025 the rate of economic growth will be 2.7 percent.

The government also accepted the Decision on the debt of Republika Srpska to the EBRD for the reconstruction and development of the “Pale Central Heating” project. The value of this project is seven million euros, with the EBRD grant amounting to three million euros.

The Bureau of Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Srpska announced that the Information on the implementation of water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects in the Republic of Srpska was adopted, which states that the projects were implemented in 27 municipalities and that a total of 55 works contracts have been signed so far. with a total value of 66.5 million euros.

The government also adopted the Information on the approval and use of donor funds of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Within the framework of the cooperation mechanism under the Agreement on the establishment of special parallel relations between the Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, with the aim of building and strengthening relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska, the Republic of Serbia has so far approved sixteen donations that are implemented through the Ministry of Finance of the Republika Srpska, in the total amount 207.8 million BAM.

Of the mentioned amount, 202.3 million BAM or 97.37% of donor funds have been paid out so far. The funds were transferred to the project managers who were in charge of the implementation in stages.

The government also adopted the Decision on the adoption of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Employment Strategy of the Republika Srpska for the period 2024-2026 years, in the total amount of 10,000,000.00 BAM, and the realization of which will cover about 1,400 persons.

The Government of the Republik Srpska adopted the Information on the provision of free textbooks for elementary school students for the 2024/2025 school year.

Free textbooks will be provided for 43,870 students, which is 53% of the total number of students attending primary education, and in the budget for 2024, 5,720,000.00 BAM is planned for these purposes.

The Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for the 2024/2025 school year. provides free textbooks: to all students of the first, second, third and fourth grades of elementary schools, students of elementary schools and elementary music schools who are winners of the national competition in the school year 2023/2024. year, then to students from the fifth to the ninth grade who are the third and subsequent children in order of birth in a family with three or more children, and to students from the fifth to the ninth grade who are beneficiaries of the right to allowance for assistance and care of another person, as well as to pupils who are beneficiaries of the right to personal disability allowance, in accordance with the Law on Social Protection.

The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports are tasked, based on the signed Protocol on Cooperation, to undertake activities to provide textbooks for excellent students from fifth to ninth grade from families with four or more children.
