The 456th generation of male graduates and 33rd generation of female graduates, among whom were two male and two female departments, was escorted today in the Gazi Husrev-Bey’s madrasah (Islamic high school).
This is a very special day for the Gazi Husrev-Bey’s madrasah, just like every spring so far, when they are saying farewell to the new generation. This year, 123 students graduated from Gazi Husrev-Bey’s madrasah, of which 65 are female and 58 male students. Tourists attentively followed the ceremony, enchanted by the beauty of the graduates.
Assistant Director for Education, Dževad Pleh, said that most graduates are exceptionally successful, and that more than half of them are excellent. Particularly female students demonstrated great success.
“The aim is to lead a new generation to the right path, to give the society and nation a large number of young people who have spent four years in madrasah, in a program of upbringing and education which this madrasah traditionally practices. They have learned not only about general subjects of social, natural and linguistic science, but also about their religion, they were taught and brought up in the spirit of their tradition, in patience, tolerance and fairness, and they have learned how to stand up for what they think is right in the society”, said Pleh.
Being proud of the young graduates, Gazi Husrev-Bey’s madrasah gave to the society and the people another successful generation that will know how to cope with the challenges of further education, through social inclusion in all areas of life and work.
