tehnol.parkThe future technological business park in Banja Luka will be targeted by foreign and local investors is testament to the fact that until now applications for the construction of more than 50 investors has been submitted, says portal ekapija.com.

The new step towards the realization of big projects, of importance not only for Banja Luka but also for the economy of the entire RS, is that the assets of the former factory “Unis Valjaonica HVT” from Ramići was sold on 27 May 2013 in the Banja Luka Commercial Court for 6,5 million KM to the city of Banja Luka.

The sales of the facility in bankruptcy succeeded in the fifth attempt, and its 24 hectares of land and facilities, which cover four acres, were sold for a third of the original estimated value.

On the site of the Association of Economists of the RS (SWOT), it stated that in the City Development Agency, among the well-known companies that wish to work in the new business zone, there are the facilities for the production of technical gases “Messer” and the Austrian “Framag”.

“We will soon be the owners of the former ‘Unisa’ and its land, and with the current schedule it is anticipated that the first investors will move into the technology park until the end of this year’’, said the Director of the Agency Nenad Račić.

The project of the technological business park will be a part of the industrial zone Ramići in which, according to estimates, around 200 businesses could begin production. This would mean a new 5.000-6.000 jobs.

The technological business park is a modern form of organization of space, which integrates technological, economic and environmentally advanced sectors of the economy, business and science into a single economic entity with the function of the scientific development of the capacity of the city. The estimated value of its construction is 40 million euros.

“The project will contribute to the local and national economic development, through the provision of a supportive environment at the global level, as well as by facilitating the transfer of knowledge and the provision of quality services to support entrepreneurship. Also, the objectives to be achieved by this project are the increase in the number of small and medium businesses, increasing employment, competition, export and development opportunities of the city of Banja Luka’’, announced the City Development Agency.
