Exactly 10 years ago, today’s captain of the National Football team of BiH, Edin Dzeko, made his debut for the senior selection of our country.
BH diamond made a debut in the qualifying match against Turkey at the Olympic Stadium “Asim Ferhatovic Hase”. In his debut, the former player of Wolfsburg managed to score his debut goal as well.
A goal at the very end of the first half of the match, after a brilliant volley, brought the equal result to the football team that was led by Fuad Muzurovic at that time. Adnan Custovic brought victory on Dzeko’s debut by scoring a goal in the last minute of the match.
After the goal against Turks, during the next 10 years in the jersey of the National Football team of BiH, Dzeko became the best scorer of our national team, and the best BH attacker managed to score his 50th goal in the jersey of BiH in the last match with Albania.
