Great News for BiH Football: Irfan Peljto on the list of Referees for the World Cup

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s best referee Irfan Peljto continues to push the boundaries and FIFA will probably give him the highest possible honor of refereeing the World Cup.

A soccer referee from Sarajevo is on the list of referees for the next World Cup in 2026, which will be played in North America. The tournament will be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, and it will be the first time that a World Cup is played across the entire continent.

Also, 48 national teams will participate, which is a record number for the World Cup, so a larger number of referees will be needed. Today they held a seminar for referees in Seville when the list of referees for the World Cup was presented.

FIFA’s seminar for referees was held in Seville, and there the list of European referees was presented, which, it is worth emphasizing, is still not final. The name of our Irfan Peljta stands out on it.

According to a specialized page that deals exclusively with the delegation of referees in the world of football, the referees who are on the list of candidates for the Euro are: Ivan Kruzliak, Espen Eskas, Danny Makkelie, Glenn Nyberg, Istvan Kovacs, Irfan Peljto, Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez, Sandro Scharer, Srđan Jovanović, Francois Letexier, Slavko Vinčić, Joao Pinheiro, Artur Soares Dias, Clement Turpin, Felix Zwayer, Tess Olofsson , Davide Massa, Serder Gozubuyuk, Maurizio Mariani, Umut Meller, Stefanie Frappart and Jesus Gil Manzano.

Please note that the list is not final and that referees from England could also be added to it, as this news was received with surprise in the cradle of football. Among the judges from England, Anthony Taylor, Michael Oliver and Paul Tierney stand out, and whether anyone will get a chance at the World Cup remains to be seen.

However, FIFA has big plans for our best referee and he would, unless something unforeseen happens, dole out justice in the biggest competition in the world of sports, Klix.ba writes.
