German football giant FC Schalke 04 shared some wonderful news on their official social media accounts.

Namely, they announced that the club’s striker Edin Džeko has started individual training.

Džeko, who is also the captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, suffered a shoulder injury in the decisive match in the fight for the World Cup against the Italian selection in Zenica on March 31. Our national team defeated the “Azzurri” after a penalty shootout and qualified for its second World Cup in history, but all fans were anxiously awaiting news about Džeko, who was injured in the final moments of extra time.

The Schalke striker has been actively working on his examination and recovery for the past 20 days, and the German club’s announcement featuring a photo of Edin Džeko from training may please their fans who hope that the experienced striker could help them return to the Bundesliga.

Schalke currently holds first place in the 2nd Bundesliga table with 61 points, and will play their next match on Sunday, April 26 against Paderborn, while our national team will begin preparations for the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico on May 29 with a match against the North Macedonian national team at “Koševo”.
