Sarajevo – During the summer, many visitors from Sarajevo but also from all B&H and the diaspora are visiting the ZOO “Pionirska dolina” – said the manager of the Recreation centre Pionirska dolina, Esad Tajić.
In terms of visiting months, August is the month when our fellow citizens living outside B&H are coming in large numbers to the ZOO. – said Tajić.
He added that the objects where to bring two new species, lemurs and meerkats, are ready too. All it takes is an import licence at the Office for Veterinary of B&H.There is from 6 000 to 7000 visitors there when the weather is fine. They come in large numbers. Adults and children are most interested to see the lion and the lioness, but monkeys as well. – said Tajić.
As soon as we get that, we are going to contact some friendly European ZOOs and enrich our ZOO this year with two new species and a third one also, but that is a secret e.g. a surprise for the visitors. – said Tajić.
