Greece supports Euro-Atlantic integrations of BiH

BiH Minister of Defence Zekerijah Osmić and his deputy Mirko Okolić met today with the Greek Ambassador in BiH Karolos Gadis and Greek Defence Attaché accredited in BiH, Capt. Leonidas Tsiantoulasa.

Minister Osmić thanked Gadis on Greek contributions to BiH and its path to NATO and the EU, and noted that the cooperation between the two countries is very good, and that it needs to develop even further.

He especially pointed out the importance of participation of members of AF BiH in different military trainings and military educational institutions in Greece.

During the meeting they discussed about BiH accession to NATO and the EU and participation of BiH in NATO and UN missions. They also discussed the possibilities of expanding the existing cooperation.

Gadis said that Greece is enthusiastically supporting BiH on its path to NATO and the EU, and added that the relation between two ministries of defence are very open and developed, and he also expressed his wish to continue the cooperation in future.

The meeting ended with signing the Plan of Bilateral Military Cooperation for 2013 between BiH Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Defence of Greece which was signed by BiH the Assistant Minister of Defence for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović and Defence Attaché of Greece Capt. Leonidas Tsiantoulas.
