Today, a group of doctors from Tuzla provides free examinations in the premises of the “Emmaus” clinic in Potočari, and the examinations are performed by an otolaryngologist, internist, neuropsychiatrist and, if necessary, a pediatrician and a dentist.

In Potočari today, dr Šekib Umihanić, otolaryngologist and head of the ENT clinic at University Clinical Centre Tuzla told Fena news agency that he and his colleagues have been coming since 2020 and provide free examinations for people who need a medical examination.

“Regardless of nationality, we are available to the population in the area of Srebrenica, Bratunac, Vlasenica and Zvornik. There are a large number of colleagues who come to work for free, and we are happy to respond to the call of the family doctor from the “Emmaus” outpatient clinic in Potočari. In addition to these examinations, we also carried out systematic examinations of children who are placed in the “Emmaus” boarding school, as well as an examination of school children staying in the educational center in Nova Kasaba. We forwarded the patients we discovered to treatment at the clinical center. What I want to emphasize is that our work is completely free of charge,” said Dr. Umihanić.

Doctors confirmed the diagnosis of thyroid cancer to Naza Ibisevic. So far, she has had two operations at the UKC in Tuzla, and today she had a regular check-up.

“Umihanić operated me twice and was my full support in the hospital, and many thanks to his team. I am very satisfied with their service. Many thanks to doctor Umihanić, who was my right hand in the most difficult days,” said Ibišević.

Umihanić with a team of top specialists from UKC Tuzla often comes to examine and treat free of charge primarily the users of the Emmaus Center in Potočari, but also all other citizens who come for an examination.
