The famous Bosnian and Herzegovina expert Vahid Halilhodžić (73) has a new assignment.

The popular Vaha is returning to the bench of the French giant Nantes, which he led from 2018 to 2019, and before that was their player from 1981 to 1986.

The news was announced by the French L’Equipe, as well as the famous Bosnian journalist Baho Topalbećirević, who made a film about Vaha.

He will have a tough task to keep the popular “Canaries” in Ligue 1. They are currently in the penultimate 17th place with 17 points, which is two less than the 16th position leading to the relegation play-offs, which is currently occupied by Auxerre.

Vaha has been out of work since 2022 after parting ways with Morocco, which he led to the World Cup.

Halilhodžić is known for his work with numerous clubs and national teams. In his career, he managed Velež, Raja Casablanca, Lille, Rennes, PSG, Trabzon, Dinamo, Nantes and the Ivory Coast, Algeria, Japan and Morocco national teams.

It is characterized by a specific style of play based on discipline, a clear tactical vision and the ability to develop young talents.
