The head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, informed the Qatari and Egyptian officials that he accepted the proposal regarding the cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip, reports Anadolu.
This was confirmed in a written statement published by Hamas political chief Haniyeh on the official Hamas website.
The statement said that Haniyeh spoke by phone with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al Thani and the director of the Egyptian Intelligence Service, Abbas Kamil, and that the Hamas movement accepted the proposals presented to them regarding the ceasefire agreement.
Details of the proposal accepted by Hamas have not been released.
