Hanna’s mother Amila, originally from Banja Luka, moved to Canada in 1991, while her father Faruk Begovic moved in 1987. Two of them met and got married in Canada in 1997, and Hanna is their eldest daughter. She was born on the 27th of December 1998.

Hannah’s parents are successfully running the company Custom Aluminum, which employs about 50 Bosnians.
Considering the fact that the contest Miss Teen Ontario had a humanitarian character, Hanna donated her hair for making wigs for people who are suffering from cancer.
