The Head of the EU Delegation to B&H And European Union Special Representative Sorensen to Visit Mostar Tomorrow

sorensenHead of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU Special Representative Ambassador Peter Sorensen will visit Mostar on Friday 7 March 2014, to underline the EU’s ongoing commitment to Mostar’s economic and social development.

Ambassador Sorensen will give the opening remarks at the presentation – including to representatives of the local business community – of a new business plan for developing and expanding the capacity of Mostar Airport, which has been prepared with EU assistance. The Ambassador will meet talented young sportspeople from across Mostar to hear about their successes and to hear about their need for better training facilities, and will visit the site of the Mostar Sports and Culture Hall that is being developed with EU support. Finally the Ambassador will also meet young musicians and the Directors of Mostar’s two music schools to discuss their inadequate temporary accommodation and their hopes for attracting funds to renovate the Music School building on Musala Square.
