Head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina comments on Federal Prime Minister Arrest

The head of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic commented on the arrest of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalic, saying that it was good for the Prime Minister to defend himself from freedom, Klix.ba news portal reports.

Kavazovic told Preporod that “no pressure should be put on the judiciary and that it is necessary to investigate all the circumstances surrounding any suspicious allegations.”

He stressed that, at the same time, political struggles must not be allowed to run over justice and that the citizens of the Federation of BiH in these crucial moments are left without leadership that has an important job to complete, in order to protect the entity and the state from the unforeseeable consequences caused by the pandemic of the coronary virus COVID-19.

“It would be good to ensure that the prime minister defends himself from freedom and that the government continues its own smooth operation. The least that the citizens of this country need is another political crisis and blockade, “said Kavazovic. It is also important, according to Kavazovic, for the trust of citizens in the judiciary that all suspicions of abuse of office during the state of emergency be investigated without any selective and politically motivated approach.
