Municipal Council of Novi Grad Sarajevo requested from the competent Cantonal Ministry that the reconstruction of the Health Center at Otoka gets completed by September.
The problem of the lack of a sufficient number of doctors and medical staff was emphasized, as well as the large crowds present in family medicine clinics in the area of Novi Grad, whose services are used by more than 127 000 citizens.
The councilors emphasized that the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo leads the initiative about reconstruction of the building, although this area is not within the jurisdiction of the local community, and that the Municipality is one of the three co-financiers of the project, all in order to complete the reconstruction of the building as soon as possible.
Implementer of the project is the Public Institution “Dom zdravlja (Health center)” of Canton Sarajevo, while in the realization of the project are also involved the Health Insurance Institute of CS as a financier and the Development Planning Institute of CS, which is supervising the execution of the works, and the works are performed by the company Union Invest.
It was also noted that the works were intensified after disagreements between the Health Insurance Institute for CS and the Development Planning Institute of CS were settled, and that around 70% of work is completed so far. Ceilings, floors and installations are completed, and almost all funds have been provided, so it is expected that the facility will be completed on time.
At the session was presented information on budget execution of the Municipality Novi Grad for the period from the 1st of January to the 31st of March this year. Assistant of the Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo for Finance and Joint Services, Emir Dedovic, said that 34 % of the planned budget was executed.
