The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that Khan Younis is under fierce Israeli attacks, and that the health situation has reached a catastrophic level and that many injured are lying on hospital floors.

“The health situation in Khan Younis is at an indescribably catastrophic level. Many injured people are lying on the floor of Nasser Hospital. Difficulties and delays in transporting the injured to the hospital are endangering lives,” the statement said.

The Ministry pointed to the lack of medical supplies and medicines and emphasized that medical teams face great difficulties in treating the seriously injured.

The ministry said that locals buried at least 40 deceased people in a mass grave, digging a grave on the hospital campus.

Palestinians in that region cannot go to cemetery funerals because of the heavy Israeli bombardment of the town of Khan Younis.
