A helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been engaged in the search for a civilian plane that disappeared in the Omarska area on Thursday afternoon.

The civilian plane disappeared from the radar around 2.00 pm, after which the Rescue Coordination Center of the BiH Civil Aviation Directorate (BH DCA) sent a call to the Search and Rescue Service (STS) of the BiH Armed Forces, consisting of a crew from the 2nd Helicopter Squadron, stationed in the Rajlovac barracks.

Immediately after receiving the call, the on-duty crew undertook the preparations of the UH-1H helicopter for the search and rescue task and took off towards the Omarska area.

Upon arrival to the designated zone, the crew began searching the terrain of the suspected location of the plane’s disappearance, aiming to find and rescue the plane’s crew.
