It is estimated that help has not yet arrived in more than 10 villages in the Konjice area due to the huge damage to the roads and the long distance, and mostly these are mountain villages below Bitovnja, the Operational Center of Civil Protection of HNK reported this morning.
Yesterday, in the area of Konjic, a large number of volunteers took part in cleaning where conditions allowed. Mountain rescue services made their way to the village and the population was evacuated.
All construction operatives are working on remediation of catastrophic consequences. Early this morning, a large number of construction machines from the Republic of Slovenia arrived as help and are being put into operation this morning, according to the report.
From the early hours of the morning, the rescue teams continued to search the terrain in the area of Donja Jablanica. Intensive work is being done on the cleaning of main and local roads, as well as on the repairs of the electricity and water supply networks, and the base station of the mobile network has also been repaired.
Road communications in the area of the municipality of Jablanica with some inhabited places are interrupted, as well as with neighboring municipalities, work is being done to clean the roads.
Also, work continues on clearing the roads in Drežnica, the road to Grabovica has been cleared, and the Commission for Damage Assessment is going to the field today.
