meri enAn important component of return is economic support to returnee families, said the Head of the Council of Europe to BiH Mary Ann Hennessey yesterday in Banja Luka during a discussion with the RS Minister for Refugees and Displaced Peoples Davor Čordaš.

Čordaš spoke to Hennessey about the activities of the Ministry, the results and projects whose realization is planned for the next period.

Hennessey recalled that the Council of Europe is based on democracy, respect of human rights and the fight against discrimination, and in this sense there is an expressed interest in the implementation of Annex 7 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

A particular interest is also expressed for sustainable return projects led by the Ministry for Refugees and Displaced Peoples of the RS, whose goal is to improve the quality of life of returnees.

At the meeting they spoke about the Regional Program of housing, as well as other projects that the Ministry is realizing through budgetary funds, loan funds or pooled funds from international humanitarian organizations.

In a separate meeting, Head of the Council of Europe to BiH Mary Ann Hennessey spoke with the Minister for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the RS Igor Vidović.
