Hezbollah announced on Friday that its fighters carried out a drone attack on an Israeli army command base in northern Israel.
The group said the squadron of drones targeted the headquarters of the coastal battalion of the Israeli army’s newly established Western Brigade in Liman.
“The attack, in response to Israeli aggression and assassinations in the cities of Hanouiyeh and Nakoura, caused confirmed casualties among Israeli officers and soldiers,” the statement added.
Fears are growing over the possibility of an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah after months of cross-border firefights.
The escalation comes after an Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 39,600 Palestinians since October 7, AA writes.
