The Israeli army announced that Hezbollah launched about 65 rockets in just one hour towards the Galilee Panhandle. Several rockets fell on the northern city of Kiryat Shmona.
The IDF says some rockets were also intercepted and others hit open areas. Hezbollah claims responsibility for the barrage, claiming it targeted Israeli army positions.
Israeli authorities said that property was damaged and that fire and rescue services responded to reports of impacts that started fires in buildings and in the open area.
The police said that they are also processing several rocket impact sites that caused damage, but that no one was injured.
Hezbollah and Israel have been waging a limited cross-border conflict since October 7, but the region and the world fear that unchecked developments could lead to an all-out war that would plunge the entire region into chaos.
