The Israeli army on Saturday claimed responsibility for attacks on sites belonging to the Lebanese group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
The military said warplanes attacked a large Hezbollah military compound in the Al-Rehan area of southern Lebanon.
It added that the area includes several military buildings and a military post.
The Lebanese group confirmed the Israeli attacks.
“Enemy warplanes launched a series of airstrikes with missiles aimed at the heights of Aaramta and Al-Rehan in southern Lebanon,” the statement said, without giving further details.
Tensions have escalated along Lebanon’s border with Israel since the Israeli army launched a deadly military offensive on the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on October 7 last year, AA writes.
