INCKO ZVANI?NA FOTOGRAFIJA-1Without expressing any type of prejudice regarding the results of the ongoing investigation regarding President of the FBIH Budimir, High Representative Valentin Inzko welcomed the readiness of police officers, prosecutors and judges yesterday to fight corruption at the highest levels and to take action against senior officials and politicians.

Inzko said that it is of vital importance that the relevant institutions have the time and space they need to enforce the law, and he added that no one is allowed to interfere in the investigation.

At the meeting with the Vice-Presidents of the FBiH Mirsad Kebo and Svetozar Pudarić, the High Representative listened to their stances on how the FBiH could function while Budimir is in prison.

The current situation reflects negatively on the functioning of the Office of the Presidency, and the High Representative and Vice-Presidents spoke of the constitutional provisions that pertain to this situation.

In terms of the political situation in the FBiH, the High Representative said that the parties may engage in the reconstruction of the government, given that they have a clear and legitimate right to do so, but at the same time must comply with the relevant constitutional and legal procedures, announced OHR.
