Higher Prices of Fuel in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The majority of distributors in the coming days will be forced to purchase oil derivatives at significantly higher prices, which will inevitably lead to an increase in retail prices throughout the Republika Srpska, said the chairman of the Oil and Oil Derivatives Trade Group of the Chamber of Commerce of Srpska, Đorđe Savić.

In the past seven days, there has been a significant increase in the prices of “Eurodiesel” and unleaded motor gasoline, and the decision of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries /OPEC/ to reduce production has led to a reduction in the supply of these energy sources.

“The aforementioned imbalance of supply and demand led to a significant increase in quotations of the most sought-after oil derivatives. The increase in refinery prices has not yet been reflected at gas stations in Republika Srpska due to the old stocks available to distributors,” Savić pointed out.

According to the current indicators, he stated, an increase in prices is expected by an additional 0.10 BAM per liter of petroleum products.
