Historic Day for BH Disapora in St. Louis

b_140809072After months of construction works on a replica of the Sarajevo fountain in St. Louis, BH diaspora will gather on August 31 in the Bevo Mill to attend the opening.

Sebilj was built in the heart of BH community in St. Louis at the intersection of Gravois Avenue Morgan Ford.

According to the BH community in St. Louis, there will be a rich cultural program as part of the Bosnian Bevo festival, the tenth in a row.

On  30th of  August, a day earlier, organizers announced sports events with numerous stalls of food and beverage presentation, with promotion of BH companies, music and dancing.

In addition, there will be addressing of the BiH officials and representatives of the city authorities.

The construction of fountain began in late September last year, when the foundation stone was laid. After, the donor action of BH diaspora started and tahnks to them, the construction of fountain was successfully completed.

The president of the Bosnian Chamber of Commerce in St. Louis, Sadik Kukić said that the construction of Sebilj (Fountain) will represent a monument and a reminder to future generations how much the integration was successful. The architect of the project is Adnan Omeragić.
