HNS condemns Attack on Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo

The Croat National Assembly (HNS) has condemned the attack on the Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo, expressing hopes that such and similar events will not hamper Croatia’s friendly efforts towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Torn European Union flag at the Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo is not the path that Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to take in the future,” the HNS said in a statement.

In addition to condemning the attack, the HNS is demanding an urgent response from police and judicial institutions to find the perpetrator and prosecute him.

“We stand for European Bosnia and Herzegovina, we live and fight to start its path to the European Union, but unfortunately such attempts to break all democratic standards take us back a few steps,” HNS stated, adding that inappropriate messages and relations with the neighboring country, which is the biggest advocate of stability and development of BiH, but also the biggest advocate and partner of European and Euro-Atlantic BiH, must not be the target of such or similar attacks.
