Hollande invited Zvizdić to the Western Balkans Summit

12899667_1137707559613532_308427607_nChairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić hosted yesterday in Sarajevo the Ambassador of France to BiH, Claire Bodonyi, who handed him over the invitation by the French President François Hollande for participation at the Western Balkans Summit which is to be held on July 4 in Paris.

Bodonyi said that the summit will be the continuation of the Berlin and Vienna summits and the expected key topics are transportation and energy connectivity, which represents a prerequisite for EU integration.

Zvizdić and the Ambassador of France to BiH also discussed the importance of environmental protection. On that occasion, Bodonyi invited Zvizdić to the ceremony of the signing of the Paris Agreement on climate which is to be held at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN( in New York on April 22.

Moreover, one of the meeting topics was also the significance of the removal of obstacles for the creation of national strategies for various infrastructure projects.

Zvizdić and Bodonyi have concluded that the adoption of the national strategy is a prerequisite for using the means from IPA funds and that additional effort has to be made in order to create these strategic documents on time, the Council of Ministers of BiH stated.
