She told reporters that the second group of measures represents support to the long-term development, in the amount of 10.88 million BAM, while 2.14 million BAM is planned for the other measures.

Rokvic stated that the Regulation on conditions and ways of obtaining financial incentives for the development of agriculture and rural areas is a document which is the result of a wide range of consultations that the Ministry conducted with the representatives of the most important associations of farmers.

She added that the new support measures for this year were introduced – co-financing of insurance premiums for agricultural production, as well as special support measures for the development of mountainous areas.

At yesterday’s session, the Government of RS adopted the Plan of using funds for stimulating development of agriculture and rural areas for this year, as a basis for payment of incentives.

A total of 60 million BAM was determined for incentives in agriculture by the budget of RS for this year.
