Both Houses of FBiH Parliament submit Request for Dispute Settlement with RS

pHouse of Representatives and House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH took advantage of the constitutional possibility and want to participate in the dispute that is being led against the Republika Srpska before the Constitutional Court of BiH. The dispute refers to the decision on the holding of the referendum on the Day of RS, which is scheduled for September 25.

This was confirmed by the Secretary of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament Izmir Hadžiavdić, who yesterday submitted a request for dispute settlement to the Constitutional Court of BiH on behalf of the authorized group of delegates of the House of Peoples.

“In addition to the request which refers to the withdrawal of the decision on the referendum, we also request a temporary measurement until the finalization of the dispute on prohibition of the holding of this referendum. Constitution of BiH foresees that one fourth of delegates of any entity parliament can participate in the dispute, so we are using that possibility,” Hadžiavdić said.

On behalf of the authorized group of delegates in the House of Representatives of FBiH Parliament, request was submitted by the Advisor to the Chairman of this House of the parliament Izmir Talić.

Previously, requests for dispute settlement were submitted by authorized proponents of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović.
