On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the unblocking of Bihać and Krajina, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke in Bihać with the commander of the famous Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Atif Dudaković, Bećirović’s cabinet announced.

Denis Bećirović acknowledged General Atif Dudaković for his enormous contribution to the fight for the defense of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the aggression, as well as to the post-war construction of the defense system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bećirović emphasized that the fighters of the Fifth Corps, led by General Dudaković, defended the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina honorably during the complete encirclement of Bihać and Krajina. He pointed out that this is a fact that must be said loud and clear, because if it were not for the fighters of the Fifth Corps of the RBiH Army, Bihać would have suffered the fate of Srebrenica.

The interlocutors emphasized that it is of particular importance now in the time of peace to continue advocating for the preservation of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path to the EU and NATO is an unstoppable process.
